Phillips' book, A Composer's Guide to Game Music, has been selected by the Nonfiction Authors Association as a Gold winner of the Nonfiction Book Awards. The book was selected as a winner in the "Arts, Music, and Photography" category.
The Nonfiction Authors Association presents Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards in its Nonfiction Book Awards competition to honor the best book-length publications in an array of nonfiction genres. Read more.

One of Phillips' recent projects is music for the LittleBigPlanet 3 video game. Phillips won a Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the category of “Best Song in a Video Game” for her track, "LittleBigPlanet 3 The Ziggurat Theme." Here's a photo that commemorates the occasion.
"LittleBigPlanet 3 The Ziggurat Theme" features performances by Winifred Phillips and the Generations Productions Choir, executing a complex classical vocal fugue supported by an organic instrumental arrangement. The intricate counterpoint sung by the choir is set against world-music inspired rhythms and textures.
A COMPOSER'S GUIDE TO GAME MUSIC wins a Global Music Award (GMA Book Award) -
The Global Music Awards has presented a Gold Medal Award of Excellence as a GMA Book Award this year to the book that has been judged as exceptional in the field of music. Phillips' book, A Composer's Guide to Game Music (The MIT Press 2014), is now a recipient of the GMA Book Award.

Phillips' latest project is music for LittleBigPlanet 3, developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Phillips' music from the LittleBigPlanet 3 game has already received a 2014 Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) in the category of “Best Song in a Video Game.”

Winifred Phillips will be participating as a speaker in a Society of Composers and Lyricists event on Wednesday, May 14th 2014.

Assassin's Creed Liberation Will Be Released in High Definition in 2014-
One of Winifred Phillips' recent projects as a video game composer, Assassin's Creed Liberation, will soon be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game's publisher, Ubisoft, made the announcement today that the game, which had achieved impressive sales and multiple awards in 2013 for its initial release on the PlayStation Vita, will soon be available on all the major consoles and PC in an enhanced, high-definition version.
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD will be available for purchase in early 2014. To coincide with today's announcement, Ubisoft released a brand new trailer for the game. The trailer is completely scored with Winifred Phillips' music from the Assassin's Creed Liberation game:
